Antonio Citterio
Antonio Citterio was born in Meda, Italy, in 1950. He opened his own design studio in 1972 and completed his architecture degree at the Polytechnic University of Milan in 1975. From 1987 to 1996, he collaborated with Terry Dawn, designing significant buildings in Europe and Japan.

In 2000, Citterio, along with Patricia Viel, founded an interdisciplinary studio for architecture, interior design, and graphic design, now known as "Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel." This studio operates internationally and specializes in developing complex, long-term projects, leveraging a network of specialized consultants.

Antonio Citterio places great importance on personal conviction in his work. He states, "I would never design something that I wouldn't want in my own home. I can't force things. If something doesn't work, I don't do it. It's as simple as that."

In addition to his work in industrial design, Antonio Citterio collaborates with renowned companies such as Vitra, Ansorg, Arclinea, Axor-Hansgrohe, B&B Italia, Flexform, Flos, Hermès, Iittala, Kartell, Maxalto, Sanitec (Geberit Group), and Technogym. Among his numerous awards are the Compasso d’Oro, which he won in 1987 and 1994. From 2006 to 2016, Citterio was a professor at the Accademia di Architettura dell'Università della Svizzera Italiana in Mendrisio.

In 2008, he was named "Royal Designer for Industry" by the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce in London.

Antonio Citterio has earned an international reputation through his diverse and innovative work in both architecture and design. His philosophy and dedication are evident in each of his projects, which are always marked by the highest quality and thoughtful design.
